So there's this bird--

有這麼一種鳥

some sort of swallow, I think.

我記得好像是某種燕子

Every september, thousands of 'em ditch rainy Seattle to winter in Mexico.

每年秋天成千上萬只燕子都離開陰雨綿綿的西雅圖去墨西哥過冬

These birds aren't dumb.

這些鳥可不傻

And every year, crowds of people gather around Seattle to drink beer and watch the flocks take off.

每年都有不少人聚集在西雅圖邊喝啤酒邊看著鳥群起飛

They call it the great migration.

他們把這稱為大遷徙

I don't know how those birds do it...

我不知道那些鳥是如何做到的

travel thousands of miles without getting lost...

千里遷徙卻從不迷失方向

banging into windows,

不會撞向玻璃窗

being eaten by cats.

不會被野貓捕食

But every spring,

但是每年春天

they're always here.

它們每年都會回來

I guess they come back to what they know.

我想它們回來是有自己的目的的

People say it's pretty cool watching them go.

有人說它們從天空成群掠過的場景非常壯觀

They say you can actually see the moment...

他們還說當鳥兒們同時

when, at some mysterious signal...

決定離開的那一刻

all at once...

你能看出來

the birds decide to leave.

它們似是相約起飛的信號

So maybe I've been missing out.

所以或許是之前我都沒注意

Whatever.

管它呢

There's always next year.

明年再看也不遲
